Add a PDF Watermark

Add a text watermark with Chinese font support, position, angle, size and opacity controls. Apply it to chosen pages.

Drop files here. Files stay on your device.

Position a text watermark

Enter text, choose a font and set opacity. Position is the text block’s approximate center as a percentage of the visible page: x grows from left to right and y from bottom to top. The tool accounts for page rotation, crop origins and UserUnit so placement follows what the reader sees. Large text near an edge may be clipped.

Text is drawn as PDF text rather than a full-page bitmap. Font size is 6–200 points, angle is −180° to 180°, and opacity is 1–100. Multiple lines are supported; tabs and control characters are rejected. Limit: 500 characters per watermark.

Fonts for English and Chinese

Auto uses a standard Latin font for ASCII text and loads the local Noto Sans SC font for other text. The first CJK load is about 10 MiB. The complete font is embedded to preserve glyphs, so the PDF can grow by several MiB. Common simplified and traditional Chinese characters are supported. Unsupported characters are reported rather than replaced silently.

You can also choose Helvetica, Times, Courier or a local custom TTF/OTF file up to 20 MiB. Font files remain in the browser. Complex scripts and color-font features are not guaranteed; inspect the exported document in your target reader.

Local processing and file limits

Files are processed in your browser; the PDF is not uploaded. The general limit is 100 MiB and 2,000 source pages, with the lower organizer/render/extraction limits described above. Encrypted or damaged files are rejected. Cancel, clear and input changes invalidate old results.

Questions & answers

Is a watermark a way to hide sensitive text?

No. The underlying page content remains in the document. A watermark is an overlay, not a redaction that removes source information.

Are files uploaded to a server?

No. Files, input text and results stay in your browser. Required engines, fonts and support files load from this site.
