Add PDF Page Numbers
Number selected PDF pages with a custom start, position and text pattern. Support Chinese labels and embedded fonts.
Drop files here. Files stay on your device.
Choose a numbering sequence
Use {page} for the running number and {total} for the document’s page count. For example, Page {page} of {total} or 第 {page} 页. Start number applies to the first selected page, then increases in the order of your page selection. Repeated page numbers are processed once.
Choose a top or bottom position, alignment and margin. Measurements use points and are adjusted for page rotation, crop boxes and UserUnit. If the text and margins do not fit inside a page, the operation stops instead of silently placing a clipped number. Existing printed page numbers are not removed.
Fonts for English and Chinese
Auto uses a standard Latin font for ASCII text and loads the local Noto Sans SC font for other text. The first CJK load is about 10 MiB. The complete font is embedded to preserve glyphs, so the PDF can grow by several MiB. Common simplified and traditional Chinese characters are supported. Unsupported characters are reported rather than replaced silently.
You can also choose Helvetica, Times, Courier or a local custom TTF/OTF file up to 20 MiB. Font files remain in the browser. Complex scripts and color-font features are not guaranteed; inspect the exported document in your target reader.
Local processing and file limits
Files are processed in your browser; the PDF is not uploaded. The general limit is 100 MiB and 2,000 source pages, with the lower organizer/render/extraction limits described above. Encrypted or damaged files are rejected. Cancel, clear and input changes invalidate old results.
Questions & answers
Does {total} count only the selected pages?
No. It is the total number of pages in the source document. The running number follows the selected-page order and your starting value.
Are files uploaded to a server?
No. Files, input text and results stay in your browser. Required engines, fonts and support files load from this site.
