JSONPath Tester
Evaluate RFC 9535 JSONPath expressions and inspect normalized result paths. Query runs in a cancellable browser Worker.
How to use
Use $ for the root, .name for a member, [0] for an index and [*] for all children. Filters such as $.users[?@.score >= 90].name return matching names. The result is an array of normalized paths and values, including multiple matches.
The engine implements the RFC query language rather than executing JavaScript expressions. Queries and regex filters run in a Worker with a three-second deadline, including Worker startup. Cancel or change an input to discard the current job.
Behavior and limits
To avoid incorrect filters, documents with unsafe integers, non-finite numbers or underflowing numbers are rejected rather than rounded. Use JSON Pointer to read a large identifier exactly. Limit: 2,048 query characters, 10,000 matches, 64 levels and 200,000 input/result characters.
Queries with excessive duplicate-selector or overlapping-descendant fan-out are rejected before matching.
Questions & answers
Why is the result an empty array?
A valid query can match no nodes. [] is a successful empty result; a syntax error is reported separately.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. Processing runs in your browser and input is not submitted to an API. Original files and remote databases are not modified.
