CSV Column Editor
Extract or remove CSV columns, sort, filter and remove duplicate rows locally while preserving quoted cells and text values.
How to use
Extract or delete comma-separated one-based column numbers such as 1,3. Sorting and filtering use one column. The header option keeps the first row out of sorting, filtering and duplicate removal. Short rows are padded with empty cells.
Numeric sorting compares decimal values exactly, including integers beyond JavaScript’s safe range and exponent notation. Empty cells sort last. Text sorting uses UTF-16 ordering. Filtering matches literal substrings; duplicate removal keeps the first complete row.
Behavior and limits
Values remain text: 001 stays 001. CSV quoting is normalized and multiline cells stay quoted. Limits: 200,000 characters, 10,000 rows, 1,000 columns and 100,000 cells. Formula-like cells are not executed here.
Questions & answers
Can I filter with a regular expression?
This tool uses literal substring matching. Use the regex tool for pattern matching before preparing your CSV.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. Processing runs in your browser and input is not submitted to an API. Original files and remote databases are not modified.
