Public IP versus local IP
A local address such as 192.168.1.10 belongs to your home or office network. A public IP identifies the outward-facing connection. Browser privacy protections prevent this page from reliably listing every private interface on your computer.

What this lookup can and cannot tell you
Use the result to check a VPN exit or provide the visible IP when debugging access rules. It is not a precise physical location or proof of identity. The lookup does not provide city, street address, ISP ownership or a DNS record.

Why does my IP change?
Your ISP may assign addresses dynamically. Switching networks, restarting a router or changing a VPN can also change the public address.
Why does another website show a different IP?
The sites may be reached through different IPv4/IPv6 paths or proxy rules. VPN split tunneling can route some destinations differently.
Can I convert this IP to a number?
