RMB Amount in Chinese Uppercase

Convert a numeric RMB amount to Chinese financial uppercase. Exact yuan, jiao and fen handling without floating-point rounding.

Convert an RMB amount

Enter an amount in yuan with up to two decimal places. For example, 10010.05 becomes 人民币壹万零壹拾元零伍分. Commas are accepted only as correctly grouped thousands separators.

This tool produces Chinese financial characters, rather than English cheque wording. It uses string arithmetic, accepts up to 16 integer digits and rejects extra decimal places instead of rounding them.

How zero and fractional amounts are written

Whole-yuan amounts end with 整. Jiao and fen use 角 and 分. A missing jiao before a nonzero fen is represented by 零; 10.05 becomes 人民币壹拾元零伍分.

Negative values are prefixed with 负. The output uses 万, 亿 and 兆 for groups of four digits; verify the notation expected by your actual document. Names, payment details and surrounding form text are not generated.
